Acer palmatum 'Atrolineare' is slow-growing, upright Japanese Maple with fine, spidery, purple-red foliage in summer. The leaves are more vibrant in the spring and turn more bronze, red and orange in the autumn. Despite its delicate appearance, it is a hardy plant. It forms a softly rounded canopy, bearing very deeply cut leaves. Makes a lovely specimen plant. Suitable for container planting due to its small size.
'Beni maiko' has fire-red or scarlet leaves in spring. Later their colour fades into a pinkish red with some green undertone. In the summer leaves change to greenish-red with the red veins. In the autumn the foliage turns vibrant orange and fiery red.
