A small, upright Full Moon maple. Its dramatic foliage emerges black-red then brightens in late spring, turns bronze-green in the summer to give the most amazing display of orange, red and purple hues in autumn.
A beautiful upright variety with large grape-like, deep green leaves that turn magnificent golds with tones of crimson and scarlet, changing to a vivid scarlet before they drop.

Acer palmatum 'Ichigyoji' is almost identical to 'Osakazuki' except for the autumn colour which is an intense brilliant yellow or orange-yellow, while Osakazuki is crimson. 'Ichigyoji' stands out from other maples because of its large leaves and flamboyant colour. During summer the leaves are green. Each leaf has seven broadly ovate lobes which taper to a sharply pointed tip.
Koto no ito translates to 'Golden old Harp'. A small, slow-growing, semi-dwarf tree with very fine leaves that emerge with crimson tones before turning to bright green. The elegant leaves warm up to vibrant orange-yellow in the autumn. Leaves are carried on short red stalks. The dark green bark adds a nice touch of colour to the winter garden.
