Botanical Drawing Workshop

Spend a day immersed in the wonderful world of houseplants at Leaf Creative, developing your artistic skills in a life drawing class where the focus is entirely on plants.

Led by artist and professional gardener Jacky Mills, the day will start with a series of warm up exercises to loosen up. You will then move on to looking at tonal values in pencil and charcoal, and ways to capture the texture and form of a wide variety of leafy foliages, succulent plants and orchids in colour with chalks and pastels.

The emphasis will be on quick, expressive sketches and having fun while gaining inspiration and confidence to continue drawing botanical subjects at home.

Suitable for complete beginners and anyone who would love to draw plants in a more relaxed way.

Places are £80 each including a picnic lunch and refreshments (vegetarian and vegan options available). All art materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own, if you would like.
